1973 BMW 2002 Restoration

OUR APPROACH

Most car guys will remember the seventies as a time when Detroit just gave up.  Ford gave us the Pinto and the Granada, Chrysler rolled out the K car and GM found new ways to make the Nova, Monza and Corvette biodegradable.
Domestic manufactures lost even the most devoted fan to the Datsun 240Z, Mazda RX7 and more than one BMW model.
Among these was the model 2002.

Most of these cars eventually found their way into autocross or short track road courses due to their sure footed manners in the corners, light weight and easy access to performance parts.

This build will remain relatively stock in appearance other than a set of Corbeua seats. The real fun lies under the bonnet (hood, but when in Rome) and a sure footed suspension including enough braking ability to stand this little car on its nose.  Stay tuned to see this grocery getter get a complete makeover!
